Childhood with Banu Sa'd
الرَّضَاعَةُ وَنَشْأَةُ البَادِيَة
Historical & Scholarly Account
Following the custom of the Makkan nobility, the infant Muhammad ﷺ was entrusted to Halimah al-Sa'diyyah to be nursed in the clean desert air of Banu Sa'd, fostering physical strength and eloquence of the Arabic tongue. From the moment Halimah took the blessed child, abundance and Barakah flowed into her household, her barren animals produced milk, and drought was lifted. During this period, the miraculous Opening of the Chest (Shaqq al-Sadr) occurred: Archangel Jibril gently opened his chest, purified his heart with Zamzam, and removed any share of Shaytan, preparing him for divine revelation.
