Rebuilding of the Ka'bah & The Black Stone
بِنَاءُ الكَعْبَةِ وَحِكْمَةُ وَضْعِ الحَجَرِ الأَسْوَد
Historical & Scholarly Account
When a torrential flood damaged the Ka'bah, the Quraysh rebuilt its sacred walls using only lawful (halal) money. When the time came to replace the Black Stone (Al-Hajar al-Aswad), severe dispute erupted between the tribal leaders, each demanding the honor of placing it. War was imminent. An elder suggested: 'Let the first man who enters through the gate judge between you.' When Muhammad ﷺ entered, the leaders rejoiced: 'This is Al-Amin! We accept his judgment!' With divine wisdom, he spread his cloak, placed the stone upon it, and invited every tribal leader to hold a corner together, lifting it as one unified body before placing it himself.
